First date. David takes Kelly to Sol food, he thought because she didn’t have a car, it would be nice for her to get out of the city. The conversation is so good, they decide to extend the date and drive up to the Marin headlands overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and SF. They spend hours, talking, making each other laugh, listening to some of David’s songs about tinder (we’ll drop the Soundclound link for those who ask nicely!), and smooching.

Kelly takes David to House of Prime Rib for his birthday. David tells Kelly she’s going to have to start watching The Sopranos if she’s going to be his girlfriend.

David tries to tell Kelly he loves her, she tells him “NO, NO, NO!” (She thought he was going to ask her to take the dogs outside.)
*Kelly here- to be fair, I had just spent two weeks taking care of David while he was sick, so there was A LOT of “Keeeeelly, will you take the doggies out?”

Kelly’s mom, Lois, comes to San Francisco for Thanksgiving. This was the first time David was meeting Lois, and in the produce section over lemons at the market, David asks Lois for her permission to marry Kelly.

David tells Kelly he wants to take Lois to The Headlands, where they went on their first date. David proposes to Kelly. She says “DAVID NO!!”
*Kelly again- to be fair, there were A LOT of people around and I was really surprised and nervous. But I did say yes!
