All About Kennolyn
Know Before You Go
Kennolyn is a unique wedding location. During the Summer months, it is a fully operational kids overnight camp. During the Spring and Fall months, it is host to weddings…which is so cool, and fulfilling Kelly’s lifelong dream of going to sleep-away camp. Much like camp, once you arrive, you won’t need to leave, unless you want to explore Soquel or Santa Cruz. All of our meals during the weekend will be taken care of by the wonderful folks at Kennolyn. Everyone will be staying in cabins, no pitching tents here!
Please note that there are two locations at Kennolyn. We will be staying at Stone Creek Village. If you end up at Hilltop Hacienda, you’re in the wrong place. While driving, you’ll notice a wood sign at a fork in the road noting the two locations. Take a right to continue on to Stone Creek Village.
There are very few rules at Kennolyn, but the ones they do have are heavily enforced.
🚬 There is a strict NO SMOKING policy while onsite at Kennolyn. You will be fined $500 if you smoke. It goes without saying that wildfires are a huge problem in California, and so is the shame if you start one while at our wedding. Dare I remind you of the people who started a huge fire because of a gender reveal? Please don’t be that person. Think of this weekend as your chance to kickstart your smoke-free era.
🐶 This one is a bummer, but pets are not welcome. We’ll be leaving Jeff and Jessica at home, so please do the same with your doggies.
Getting to Camp: Travel Tips
Planes, Cars, and Definitely No Ubers.
Arriving by Car
There is free on-site parking at Stone Creek Village for weekend guests!
Pro tip: If you're driving from North of Santa Cruz, you'll probably end up on Highway 17 or Highway 1. These are beautiful roads with scenic views and no chill whatsoever when it comes to Friday/Saturday/Sunday traffic. Plan accordingly.
🚨 IMPORTANT RIDESHARE PSA:
Do not rely on Uber or Lyft to get you back to the airport or any other destination. You might be able to get dropped off at Stone Creek Village… but getting picked up? That’s a fairy tale. Like unicorns. Or smooth traffic on Highway 17.
Arriving by Plane
✈️ The closest airport is San Jose International Airport (SJC) – about a 50-minute drive (if the traffic gods are kind).
🚨 Please make sure you book San Jose, CALIFORNIA and not San Jose, COSTA RICA (unless you’re eloping… in which case, congrats?).
Other options:
SFO and OAK are about 90-ish minutes away, depending on traffic, mood, and whether your GPS has a sense of humor.
If you fly in, we strongly recommend renting a car. It’s the easiest way to get to the venue and back, and you’ll feel like you’re in a moody indie film as you drive through the redwoods.
Car Service To & From The Airport
If you are coming in from out of town and do not want to rent a car, we are working with a transportation company to book cars and/or shuttles to and from the airport. Please reach out to Kelly if this is something you are interested in.

Arrival & Departure
📅 Check-In:
Begins at 4:00pm on Friday, October 3rd
(We kindly ask that you check in by 6:00pm at the latest. Fashionably late doesn’t work in the forest.)
📅 Check-Out:
By 11:00am sharp on Sunday, October 5th
(No late check-outs. This is camp, not a Courtyard Marriott.)
⛺ All stays are for two nights, and unfortunately we can’t offer early check-in or late check-out windows. But the good news: Stone Creek Village staff will help carry your bags to and from your cabin if needed, so you can save your energy for pickleball, dancing, or debating who brought the best Western outfit.
Rates
We searched high and low for a place that ticked all of our boxes. A place where we could gather with our favorite people (you, duh!) and spend our most precious resource together… time.
We’ve done our best to make this weekend as accessible as possible, but if cost is a barrier to attending, please do not hesitate to reach out. We’ll do what we can to make it work, because having you there means everything to us.
The total rate for the entire weekend, including lodging and all food and activities, is $400 per guest plus taxes and service fees. Price is lower for children up to age 20. Once you get to Stone Creek Village on Friday night, we'll take care of everything for you! Check out the full-schedule of activities and meals for the weekend.
Cabin Booking Info
This isn’t a typical hotel… it’s way cooler (and less refundable).
Once you’ve booked your cabin, you’re locked in. No cancellations, no take-backs, no “oops, I forgot I had a dentist appointment that weekend.” We really hope you can join us for the full wedding adventure!
How to book your cabin:
If you RSVP ‘yes’ for the wedding, you are also RSVPing to stay with us the entire weekend. Unfortunately, we are not able to have any drop-ins for any portion of the weekend, including the wedding ceremony and reception.
The wonderful folks at Kennolyn will send one email per cabin with the invoice, payment link, and other need-to-know info (like what to do if a raccoon tries to be your bunkmate).
If you have questions about your RSVP or cabin, reach out to us and we will do our best to help!
